I believe every person has a unique story. Telling those stories is what connects us as people. It is that diversity in thought that brings out the beauty in people, I just so happen to capture them in stories. My name is Tyrone Nelson, Jr - proud owner of The Newviews Agency.
After earning my Diploma and Associate Degree simultaneously from Highland Springs High and J. Sargeant Reynold Community College, I enrolled into Virginia Commonwealth University to explore my passion for Marketing, Film, and Creation where I graduated with a degree in Marketing Communication and Analytics. I then continued my education at Yale University completing a certification course in Financial Markets, then venturing to the University of Virginia where I completed a certification course in Personal Branding, and then going to the University of Pennsylvania earning a certificate in Viral Marketing and Social Media Marketing, rounding it off at The Imperial College of London with a certificate in Creative Thinking!
Storytelling is a passion I’ve had for the entire course of my life. In 2020 I brought home the award for Best Multimedia in Show from the Virginia Press Association. That same year I also brought home the award for 1st Place and Best Video of 2020 from The Virginia Press Association! Along my career path, I've been fortunate to work at some amazing organizations like The Federal Reserve Bank, In The U.S. House of Representatives, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Dominion Energy.
In 2017, I took on the role of building my own company to help tell the story of the voiceless and turn visual dreams into realities and this is where The Newviews Agency (formerly Newviews Productions) was born! At Newviews, We don't just tell stories; We bring them to life. My approach is rooted in the belief that creativity is not just an art form but a means of communication that transcends boundaries. Launching the company was more than a business venture; it was a manifestation of my love for the culture that made me, fused with my enthusiasm for knowledge, much like a library enthusiast who finds wisdom in every book. This blend of aesthetics and intellectual curiosity has been the cornerstone of our brand, setting us apart in a crowded marketplace. We've been lucky to work with brands like Adidas, Porsche, Sentara, GRTC, VCU, and many more.
As a leader, I strive to embody creativity, inspiration, and strategic thinking in every aspect of our operations. My goal is not just to lead a successful business but to create a platform where stories from all walks of life can be told, celebrated, and leveraged to inspire change and foster understanding.
